Process Technician for plastic and rubber technology

If you like technical work, you are in the right place: In this profession, you are responsible for the operation and monitoring of machines. You pay close attention to the parameters and machine settings and make sure that the fine adjustments also work. The materials are also exciting: As the name suggests, the two materials that you work with are mainly plastic and rubber – from our point of view, these are materials with a clear future.

This training will suit you, if...

… You enjoy controlling machines.
… You follow instructions or specifications precisely and accurately.
… You like working hard and have manual dexterity as well as a precise working method.
… You are friendly, reliable and committed – and you want to work in a team.
… You have a secondary school leaving certificate or a good lower secondary school qualification.

Honestly: The training WILL NOT suit you if ...

… You have serious problems with mathematics or technology or do not want to do manual work.
… You do not want to come into contact with materials or work in a clean room.
… It bothers you working shifts or you prefer to work outdoors.

You will learn this during your training as a process technician for plastic and rubber technology at GARGIULO:

You will become familiar with extrusion machines – with everything associated with them: Setting up, starting up, monitoring and operating the machines. Cleaning and maintenance are also part of your tasks.
You will identify faults in the machines – and how to eliminate them. This will make you an important guarantor for trouble-free production. This will mean: You can also carry out minor repairs and conversions on the machines independently.
You will perform checks and measurements. This will ensure that the work in the entire department runs smoothly. You will work together with the Development and Quality Management department. Of course, you will document all important parameters exactly.

Tool Technician

Here it is your job to produce tools of all kinds for industrial series production. You will work with the materials of the future because you will mainly produce metal and plastic parts. Drilling, milling, turning, eroding, filing, polishing, … – As a tool technician, you will learn to read technical drawings and produce tools exactly to specified dimensions.

This training will suit you, if …

… You like manual work – and at the same time have a very skilful and precise working method.
… Technology excites you and you want to work with large machines.
… You are confident in mathematics and master the basics without any problems.
… You are friendly, reliable and committed – and you want to work in a team.
… You have a secondary school leaving certificate or a good lower secondary school qualification.

Honestly: The training WILL NOT suit you if ...

… You don't want to get dirty at work.
… Large machines scare you.
… You prefer to do everything on the basis of "it will already fit".

You will learn this during your training as a tool technician at GARGIULO:

You will make sure that our machines and equipment work. You will work in normal shifts.
You will work with us when we produce new tools and equipment. You will monitor that the individual parts are produced in accordance with the drawing and on time. You will also create CNC programs for this purpose, i.e. digital programs for controlling machine tools.
You will make sure that our production tools are handled carefully, i.e., that they will work for a long time – and improve them if possible. In addition, you will procure raw materials and materials that are necessary for this.
